Learning A-Z offers professional learning that can be tailored to meet the needs of any audience (administrators, teachers, parents, support staff, etc.). Your professional development manager will work with you to ensure your professional learning meets your participants’ specific needs.
A professional development manager is assigned to each district/school/organization. Your professional development manager may be contacted here.
Every session is facilitated by an expert educator who has extensive classroom teaching experience, is well-versed in literacy philosophy and pedagogy, and is a skilled Learning A-Z user.
At Learning A-Z, we recognize that the needs and goals of each district/school/organization are unique. We believe in customizing your professional learning so that these specific needs and goals can be met. Your professional development manager will work with you to tailor your sessions to ensure users understand the resources that are available to them, and can implement them in meaningful ways.
Yes! We have the capability to record custom webinars. When scheduling your custom webinars, please alert your professional learning contact that you would like a recording of your session.
Custom webinars are scheduled to run for 60 minutes, including time for Q&A.
We ask that custom webinars be scheduled at least two weeks in advance. All dates/times are subject to availability.
For a custom webinar, we recommend that the session be facilitated in a group setting to best promote collaboration and constructive communication. If possible, we recommend projecting the webinar while encouraging participants to log into their Learning A-Z accounts on their individual devices. If this is not an option, however, it can also be effective if teachers log into the webinar on their own or simply view it as a group.
Learning A-Z uses GoTo Training. We recommend that you install the GoTo Training software and verify your system’s compatibility in advance of the live session, which you can do by visiting https://support.logmeininc.com/gotowebinar/get-ready.
An on-site workshop can provide up to 6 hours of instructional time. These 6 hours can be divided into various increments (e.g. 3 hours; 90 minutes), but the time must be used in one day and cannot be divided across multiple days. Your professional development manager will work with you to ensure you and your team get the most out of your on-site time.
We ask that on-site workshops be scheduled at least four weeks in advance. All dates/times are subject to availability.
To ensure meaningful collaboration and learning, we ask that no more than 30 people participate in an on-site workshop.
For the success of an on-site workshop, we request that a facilitator have access to a projector and wifi. We also request that each participant have access to an individual device and their Learning A-Z login and password.
We understand that unforeseen circumstances arise, which may necessitate the need to cancel or reschedule a custom webinar or on-site workshop. We require that any cancellation or rescheduling requests be sent in writing to your professional development manager at least two business days prior to the date of the scheduled session. Failure to cancel, or requests received less than two business days in advance of the scheduled session, may result in adjustments to the allocated professional development included with your account.
