TUCSON, AZ — April 16, 2015 — Learning A-Z, an online provider of PreK-6 education solutions and part of Cambium Learning Group, Inc., has enhanced its Writing A-Z website by adding three student-facing interactive writing tools, and redesigned the site for improved navigation and ease of use.
Writing A-Z is a web-based K-6 product that delivers the most comprehensive collection of writing resources to a single site with the aim of personalizing writing instruction and improving students' writing skills. The collection of interactive online writing tools allow students to apply their writing skills and creativity while creating their own books, writing essays, and completing specific process writing tasks. Students submit books and compositions to their teacher for posting to a classroom bookshelf or writing wall for classmates to read and respond to. Additional new features include the ability for teachers to schedule and score writing assignments online, and to track individual and class-wide progress with digital reporting tools.
"Writing is a critical skill that goes hand in hand with reading, and for years K-6 teachers have struggled to gather all the resources and tools necessary for impactful writing instruction and practice," said Bob Holl, president and cofounder of Learning A-Z. "With the new online student writing tools and other enhancements to Writing A-Z, teachers now have an even more comprehensive writing product that delivers everything they need to improve the writing skills of every student in their classroom. Learning A-Z is proud to deliver what we feel is the most comprehensive, high-quality K-6 writing product anywhere."
As always, teachers have access to hundreds of leveled lessons, worksheets, and supporting resources designed for students at various developmental levels. The product includes a set of resources for instructing emerging writers just beginning to experiment with words and sounds, and instructional resources for developing writers ready to master the five steps of the writing process.
Learning A-Z is committed to providing affordable blended learning solutions that help educators support every student, at a wide range of developmental levels. Special introductory pricing to the new and improved Writing A-Z runs through December 31, 2015.
