Reading A-Z and Raz-Plus

The last two books of the Hollow Kids series were released in October, but the mystery and suspense of these books will keep your students engaged in reading long after Halloween.

Halloween-themed Shared Reading books are designed to help you model close reading, text-dependent questioning, and strategies for asking and answering questions. Our Shared Reading book titles include From Pumpkin Seed to Jack-O-Lantern, The Halloween House, and Hector’s Halloween.

The Poetry Book Trick or Treat! A Halloween Rhyme

The Poetry Book Trick or Treat! A Halloween Rhyme is ideal for K-2nd grade students and will prepare them for the excitement of Halloween.

To search for more printable, projectable, and digital versions of leveled books, such as The History of Halloween and Jack-O-Lanterns, that can add some Halloween fun to your reading lessons, search “Halloween” in Reading A-Z and Raz-Plus.

Writing A-Z

Scaredy Crow Writing A-Z Wordless book

Wordless books are a great way for students to hone their imaginations and practice their storytelling skills. With the Scaredy Crow Wordless book, students put their own twist on a story around two crows and a scarecrow.

When students are inspired to write their own scary stories, the Writing A-Z Build-A-Book digital tool allows them to draft and edit stories, add illustrations, and publish them for the class to enjoy.
