Announcing the Winners of the 2025 Learning A-Z Star Donation Challenge

Students Donate Record Amounts of Healthy Meals, Clean Water, and School Supplies

2024 header

This spring, students embarked on a journey to not only expand their knowledge, but also to extend a helping hand to those in need. By reading books and completing activities in the Learning A-Z® student portal, students earn stars they can choose to donate toward healthy meals, clean water, or school supplies to help communities. After stars are donated, Learning A-Z makes a monetary donation on behalf of participating students to support a children’s humanitarian organization with worldwide impact.

Through this challenge, students demonstrate the incredible impact that a collective effort can have on the lives of others. Congratulations to all the amazing students, classrooms, and teachers who participated in the 2025 Learning A-Z Star Donation Challenge!

Final Student Donations

161,000 Healthy Meals

1,115,000 Days of Clean Water

179,000 School Supplies

It’s Pizza Party Time

Congratulations to the top-donating classrooms in each of the 50 U.S. states and D.C., as well as in five different countries. Your incredible achievements deserve to be celebrated, and what better way to do so than with a well-deserved class pizza party!

Celebrate Your Students

Whether or not your classroom earned a pizza party, your students’ participation is a testament to the positive change that can be achieved when we come together for a shared cause. Celebrate your students’ impact by printing and displaying their Certificates of Awesomeness and donation stars from the Donation Kit.

"On behalf of my 5th grade class, I want to thank you for running the Learning A-Z Star Donation Challenge. My students were motivated to not only help others in need, but voluntarily read as much as they could on Raz-Kids to earn more stars to donate. In the process of demonstrating their concern for others less fortunate, they became better readers. They are truly proud to receive recognition for their efforts."
