The Sales Operations Specialists are aligned regionally and reports directly to the Director of Operations and Training. They support their assigned regions with general sales support and process guidance. The position performs the day-to-day functions and tasks related to sales operations including but not limited to CRM management, quotes, contracts, business forms, call routing, and sales support to the field. The sales operations specialist position provides key support to the sales organization and interfaces with multiple departments.

Essential Job Functions

  • Sales reporting (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually). Monitors the accuracy and efficient distribution of sales reports and other intelligence essential to the sales organization. Recommends revisions to existing reports, or assists in the development of new reporting tools as needed
  • Support accurate and timely lead conversion. Review customer inquiries to determine if the leads are sales or customer service related then route accordingly. Create various Salesforce and CSI reports for sales reps as needed to help them identify leads, opportunities, and reach sales team objectives
  • Manage the daily renewal opportunity report for your assigned team
  • Review and update sales bookings reports to ensure revenue is assigned to the correct sales associate by state for your assigned region for accurate calculation of commissions
  • Support the generation of quotes for the assigned sales team sales
  • Coordinate, monitor, and manage all incoming sales leads to assure prompt follow up by sales rep and swift establishment of opportunities
  • Participate in team business meetings and functions. Take team meeting notes and route after the sessions are completed
  • Serve as a liaison between traveling sales representatives and staff based in the home office. Schedule appointments for field reps
  • Sales Team liaison between Order Entry, Implementation, Marketing, and Customer Service as needed
  • Perform other duties as required

Additional Job Functions

  • Self-starter with ability to manage diverse workload and competing priorities
  • Strong internal customer service skills; ability to respond in a prompt, polite, and efficient manner
  • Minimum 2 years of sales/support and/or sales operations experience preferred
  • Highly proficient in Salesforce administration (or another CRM) and Microsoft Excel
  • Amazing communication skills, with an emphasis on cross-functional collaboration required
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Superior project and time management skills; excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Must enjoy being a team player and work in a collaborative work environment

Required Skills and Abilities

  • High School graduate
  • Prior experience in Sales or Sales Operations
  • 1-3 years' experience with Microsoft Office and CRM software/tools
  • 1-3 years' experience with or in accounts payable/receivable departments
  • 1-3 years' experience answering inbound ACD calls or experience with multi-line phone system

Preferred Skills and Abilities

  • Some college preferred
