Learning A-Z

What our customers say

"My position this year takes me around the district to work with elementary teachers to provide interventions for struggling students. I use these book and lessons with students and have found much success. Just being able to put a book in the hands of a student who doesn't have one at home has been a joy! They enjoy taking it home to read to a parent. I am working with my supervisor to purchase it for our reading specialists! Thank you again for providing teachers with an outstanding resource at a very reasonable cost!"
— Amy Miller; Intervention Technologist; Lakewood City Schools; Lakewood, OH

"Raz-Kids is a fantastic resource for my students. The population I serve includes students with very limited reading skills. These students struggle with traditional methods of teaching and encouraging reading. Raz-Kids allows for text to be read to the students as they follow along. Students are excited about the voices to text and the colorful graphics. They look forward to Raz-Kids time in the lessons. Raz-Kids has helped to improve my students’ work recognition and comprehension. As an Intervention Specialist, I look forward to continuing to enhance my Reading program with this wonderful resource."
— Patricia Schmidt; Intervention Specialist; Sayler Park Elementary; Cincinnati, OH

"I use your materials for my ELL students, especially in writing. We read our A-Z books, discuss vocabulary and grammar, as well as setting, characters, etc. I find the wordless books a valuable resource as my students can rewrite the story, recalling details and actually use the vocabulary and grammar lessons to demonstrate their understanding. They take great pride in sharing their stories with each other and with their parents. I also use A-Z books to teach sequence, again building vocabulary and oral fluency. We read a story together and discuss. Then I give pairs of students the picture from a copy of the book. They collaborate to come up with a story sequence, glued to a long strip of construction paper, and write a sentence for each illustration. I've found it really boosts their confidence in their retelling of a story, both orally and in written form."
— Jeanne Akers; ESL/ELL Specialist; Longview School District; Longview, WA

"As a Reading Recovery teacher and also helping teachers in K-3, having access to this wealth of reading materials, already leveled, ready to print is wonderful!"
— Martha Wheeler; Reading Recovery Teacher; Portland Elementary School; Louisville, KY
