Enabling Cookies

Cookies are chunks of information stored in your computer's memory as you browse the Internet. Learning A-Z servers send your browser a cookie when you visit, log in, or register. Instructions for enabling your Internet browser's cookies vary depending on the browser. Please locate your browser and operating system from the list below and follow the indicated steps.

Internet Explorer

Windows 8.0:
1. Select the Tools menu.
2. Select Internet Options.
3. Select the Privacy tab.
4. Click Default.
5. Move slider from Block all cookies to any other setting of your choice.
6. Click Ok.

Windows 7.0:
1. Select the Tools menu.
2. Select Internet Options.
3. Select the Privacy tab.
4. Move slider from Block all cookies to any other setting of your choice. 
5. Click Ok.

Microsoft no longer manufactures or supports Internet Explorer for Macintosh.

Mozilla Firefox

Windows 3.5/3.6
1. Select the Tools menu.
2. Select Options.
3. Check the Accept cookies from sites checkbox.
4. Select the Keep until they expire option.
5. Click OK.

Windows 3.0
1. Select the Tools menu.
2. Select Options.
3. Select Privacy.
4. Select the Accept cookies from sites checkbox.
5. Select the Keep until they expire option.
6. Click OK.

Macintosh 3.5/3.6:
1. Select the Firefox menu.
2. Select Preferences.
3. Select Privacy.
4. Set Firefox will to Use custom settings for history.
5. Check the Accept cookies from sites checkbox.
6. Select the Keep until they expire option.
7. Close the preferences window.

Macintosh 3.0:
1. Select the Firefox menu.
2. Select Preferences.
3. Select Privacy.
4. Check the Accept cookies from sites checkbox.
5. Select the Keep until they expire option.
6. Close the preferences window.

Safari

Macintosh:
1. Select the Safari menu.
2. Select Preferences.
3. Select the Security icon from the top.
4. In the Accept Cookies section, click Only from sites you navigate to.
5. Close the preferences window.
